Every year, Chuck commits to traveling to all62 counties in New York to meet with constituents.
On July 3, 2013 Schumer joined local officials and residents at City Hall in the City of Oneida, in Madison County, to tour the formerly restricted area of the Oneida evacuation zone, where significant flood damage over the past several days has displaced hundreds of residents. Schumer fought to ensure that the city is not left out of any federal aid that they deserve. Schumer toured the City's evacuation zone, flooded by the Oneida Creek, and inspected significant infrastructure issues caused by the rains. Schumer and the group walked Oneida neighborhoods and met with local residents to survey the damage.
