\nOn October 7, 2010, Schumer visited the Watkins Glen Community Center located in Schuyler County. Schumer discussed the Travel Regional Investment Partnership Act or TRIP Act. The TRIP Act would provide grant incentives for private groups, like visitors Bureaus, to team up with local government, not for profits and private companies to create or promote tourist destinations in their region. Schumer was joined by Rebekah Lamoreaux, President and CEO of the Watkins Glen Chamber of Commerce, Miranda Odell Polmanteer, Director of Tourism and Development of the Watkins Glen Chamber of Commerce and Morgan McGlaughlin, President of Finger Lakes Wine Country.
