SCHUMER ANNOUNCES MAJOR WIN FOR ROME: ASSURED INFORMATION SECURITY LANDS NEARLY $48M AIR FORCE CONTRACT; CONTRACT IS A WIN FOR GROWING COMPANY AND IT’S WORKFORCE


Work Is To Be Completed In Rome Over The Next Two Years 

Schumer: This Is A Win-Win-Win For Our Nation, Assured Information Security’s Employees, And The Mohawk Valley Economy 

U.S. Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer today announced that Assured Information Security, Inc (AIS)., in Rome New York was awarded a $47,974,580 Air Force contract to explore next-generation network operations and vulnerability assessment technology, or INNOVATE.  The objective of the INNOVATE effort is to provide new cyber assessment tools for high-priority, emerging or existing telecommunications technologies. Work will be done in Rome and will go through Jan 10, 2020.

“This contract is not only a huge boost to the Mohawk Valley’s economy, but it will help the Air Force improve our nation’s cybersecurity infrastructure,” said Senator Schumer. “The Mohawk Valley’s workforce is second to none, and the Air Force made the right choice by selecting Assured Information Security Inc. for this important work. It is awards like these that show how important Rome Lab’s work is to the local economy. I will to do everything I can to bring more work and jobs to Upstate New York.”

Air Force Research Lab in Rome (AFRL) is the contracting authority for the award and will obligate $4 million in fiscal 2018 research, development, test and evaluation funds to advance the work,
