Schumer, Clinton Announce $247,000 For Stewart International Airport

US Senators Charles E. Schumer and Hillary Rodham Clinton today announced that the US Department of Transportation has awarded $247,000 in Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) funds to the Stewart International Airport. The money will be used to acquire snow removal equipment.

If we are to maximize Stewarts capacity as a regional airport we must make sure that flights can land and take off at any time. This funding will help ensure that passengers can get in and out, no matter what the conditions or the weather, Senator Clinton said.
