Schumer, Clinton Announce Over $2 Million For Greater Binghamton Airport

Federal Dollars Will Be Used To Improve Access Road, Improve Runway Safety Area And Remove Obstructions


U.S. Senators Charles E. Schumer and Hillary Clinton today announced $2,565,000 for the Greater Binghamton Airport from the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) at the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

This is great news for the Greater Binghamton Airport, said Senator Schumer. This airport welcome travelers to New York each year, and these improvements are important for local businesses and strengthening the local economy. I will continue to fight for federal funds to help this airports remain a thriving center of activity and a hub for economic growth in the region.

The Greater Binghamton Airport is an integral part of the local economy and it is important that we do everything we can to support it," Senator Clinton said.
