SCHUMER STATEMENT ON GENERAL MOTORS BRINGING NEW WORK TO LOCKPORT, PROVIDING A SHOT IN THE ARM TO THE WESTERN NEW YORK ECONOMY

U.S. Senator Charles E. Schumer today released the following statement after General Motors announced it will be bringing new work to its plant in Lockport, NY:

“This is a win-win-win that will benefit GM, the world-class UAW workers at Lockport, and the Western New York economy. This is exactly why I fought so hard to keep open this plant and have GM acquire the plant from Delphi during the Great Recession and auto bailout. We look forward to a bright future of more work at the productive and efficient Lockport GM plant,” said Senator Schumer.
