SCHUMER STATEMENT ON PLANNED RESIGNATION OF CONGRESSMAN BRIAN HIGGINS

New York, N.Y. – Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer today released the following statement on Congressman Brian Higgins’ planned resignation from the U.S. House of Representatives:

“After over three decades of dedicated public service and steadfast commitment to his constituents, Brian Higgins has left an indelible mark on the Buffalo Niagara region. Brian has been a devoted leader, who fought every day to bring Western NY’s voice to Washington,” said Senator Schumer. “Brian has left an impressive legacy in his wake, and I am incredibly proud of the work we’ve accomplished over the past 19 years and wish him the best in this next chapter.”
