Senators Chuck Schumer & Herb Kohl Wager On Giants-Packers Nfc Championship Game, Cheese And Cheesecake On The Line
National Football Conference Championship Game Set for Sunday -- If Giants Win, Schumer Will Get Block of Wisconsin Cheese; If Packers Win, Kohl Will Get Junior's Cheesecake
With the Giants and the Packers set to face off in the National Football Conference championship game Sunday in Green Bay, US Senators Charles Schumer (DNY) and Herb Kohl (DWI) today announced that they have made a bet on the outcome of the series. The winner will receive a supply of delicacies from the loser's home state: Junior's cheesecake from New York or cheese from Wisconsin.
"Brooklyn may have sent Green Bay a gift in Vince Lombardi, but the generosity ends there," Schumer said. "When the snow clears this Sunday, I am confident that the Giants will be victorious."
"In spite of the cold, the Giants will only feel the heat against Green Bay at Lambeau Field ," Kohl said. "I look forward to cheering the Packers on to victory this Sunday and then on to the Super Bowl."
The Giants finished with a strong 106 regular season, and head to Lambeau Field with a 9game winning streak on the road. Sunday's game will be the first NFC championship in over a decade hosted by the Packers led by NFL career touchdown recordholder Brett Favre at Lambeau Field where the team is 81 this season.
